Rachel won the Observer Food Monthly Rising Star award in 2019 and has since grown a huge online following. She’s well versed in the London vegan scene, but also looks to her Caribbean and African roots for ideas. She grew up in North London with her Mum, and brought vegan cooking home by taking staple Caribbean recipes (inspired by her Sierra Leonean and St Lucian roots) and making them vegan with all the traditional spices and flavours.
Her new book One Pot, Three Ways reframes vegan cooking by creating one main centrepiece, the worthy hero of every meal.
